We had an awesome turnout for the first round of the Undie Summer series, and some really good clean racing. Hopefully we will replicate that at Summit Point tomorrow, Tuesday at 19:30 GMT 🙂

Multi-class driving
Oddly, the only problems reported last week were from drivers being too careful. The performance difference between the MX-5’s and Porsches is enormous, and so moving out of the way of the faster Porsches was causing trouble. If you see a Porsche in your mirrors, just keep your line and race them as normal. With a 10 second performance advantage the Porsche’s will have no problem whatsoever in getting past you on the next straightaway.

The other problems last week were from Porsches passing MX-5’s under braking without realising that the MX-5’s can actually brake and corner just as well as the Porsche’s. By the time the braking point is there, the Porsche needs to have made the pass already. Trying to pass after that point, mostly just results in the MX-5 being dive bombed. Thankfully the MX-5’s were very good at seeing the dive bombs coming and crisis were mostly averted.

Don’t private message admins either on iRacing or Discord, as they may not respond in time (posting in the public chat means someone is guaranteed to see your question).

If you have any trouble finding the event in iRacing or have any questions, just ask in the Undiecar Discord channel. There’s usually someone around on Discord to help out. If you like to jibber jabber often mid-race, then you should join our Discord voice chat during races. There’s usually a small group of us chit chatting all race long.
