The Belle Isle circuit is home to the Detroit Grand Prix in Michigan USA. The race has been held on and off since 1989. The event dates back to the Formula One Detroit Grand Prix on the Detroit street circuit. The CART series eventually became the headline event and then moved it to the park area of Belle Isle, situated on an island in the Detroit River.
