After a long summer break, we are back to season 7! This time around we have shaken up the championship setup quite a bit. We no longer use only the Dallara IR-05, but are switching up the car(s) used on a weekly basis.

The races will usually use the 50 min practice, 10 min qualifying and 60 min race format. All rounds will be possible to compete in with free content. Multi-class races will include one free content car so you do not need to own any paid content to compete in the championship. Full points will be awarded for each class towards the main championship. The championship will be made up of five ovals and six road courses, with the best eight points scoring races to count. So if you miss a week, don’t like that weeks car/track or have a really bad day, you will still be able to have a good result at the end of the season.

Things to know

• Setups: We will be using fixed setups for each race. Setups will be posted on each event notice. If the setup is missing from the event notice within a week of the event, please let us know as someone forgot to add it in time 😉
• Minimum iRating: 500
• Minimum license level: D 2.0 oval for oval tracks, D 2.0 road for road courses
• Qualifying: Open qualifying on road, single car on ovals
• Caution periods: Only on ovals, no lucky dog except for when using NASCAR cars
• Weather: Dynamic
• Setups: Fixed (provided in each event notice)
• Track conditions: Random, carried from practice to qualifying to race. Auto-clean marbles is on.
• Weather: This will be random
• Incident limit: none, but post-race penalties may be handed out if performance gains are obtained by
• Driving aids: All allowed
• Race starts: Standing on road courses, rolling on ovals
• Restarts: Unless otherwise states on the event notice, single file, lapped keep position with no lucky dog
• Fast repairs allowed: 1

Division 2

Anyone with an iRating below 1800 (average of oval/road licenses) at the start of the season will be allowed to gain points in both the main championship and a Division 2 championship. Previous winners of an Undiecar Championship are automatically placed in Division 1. Divisions are calculated based on the official iRacing statistics from the day of the first race of the season (oval driver stats | road driver stats).

Surprise awards

We will be awarding some small awards at the end of the season. Anyone who wins will need to send their postal address to receive their award. Awards include the following:

1. Overall champion
2. Division 2 champion
3. Best crash of season
4. Most incidents for season *
5. Least incidents for season *
6. Most poles without a win
7. Most wins without a pole
8. Highest in championship without podium

* calculated based on most/least incidents but removing the worst three results as drop weeks and only including drivers who entered at least eight rounds of the season.

Points

Points are awarded for to anyone who completed at least one lap.

At the conclusion of each race, the top finishers will score points towards the drivers championship, according to the following scale:

1st: 20 points
2nd: 18 points
3rd: 16 points
4th: 14 points
5th: 12 points
6th: 10 points
7th: 9 points
8th: 8 points
9th: 7 points
10th: 6 points
11th: 5 points
12th: 4 points
13th: 3 points
14th: 2 points
15th: 1 points

Bonus points will be awarded for pole position, fastest lap in each event and least incidents in each event (must not be more than one lap down on the leader of their class).
