Congratulations to Nikolay Ladushkin on becoming Undiecar Champion! Nikolay was in a strong position heading into this round, and two fifth place positions were all he needed to take the championship win.
Two hard fought races were had at Daytona Oval. The first race had no accidents at all. Around lap 22 the entire field needed to pit under green. Ryan Hellyer spun leaving the pits and crashed into the wall causing the pace car to come out. Ryan pitted under yellow, joined the rear end of the pack. Michael Kildevaeld took control of the lead and was followed across the finishing line by Ryan and Jake Conway.
The reversed grid race 2 started spectacularly with Kleber Bottaro Moura spinning out on one the start line and slamming hard into Ryan. After a quick pit stop Ryan was back on the rear end of the leading pack. The rest of the leading pack then pitted for an early fuel stop so that the could reach the end without pitting again. Some odd maneuvering behind the pace car resulted in a large amount of the field becoming a lap down, leaving Ryan and Carlos as the only cars left to battle for the lead. Ryan then realised he’d failed to add fuel and had to stop under green handing the win to Carlos. Michael, Jake and Ryan then had a hard fight for second place, with Jake losing out shortly before finish due to impacting with the wall. Going into the race Jake was third in the championship followed Ryan and then Michael. After the race Jake was still third, followed by Michael and then Ryan, although all tied on 54 points!
